Cheaper versions are well known for falling or being knocked off and this is not a problem if you fit this properly. As I remember there is a rubber sleeve which has to be used and which you tighten the fitnent into. I have been using this now for a few months on my Scott MTB fitted with new air RockShox and it is rock solid. The rest of the mudguard is really well made and I am expecting years of use.
